Formations
Each one of these formations is a base formation. There are variations off of each. The main variations that fit for most of these base formations are:
- Tight - this just moves the Y to be three feet outside the tackle to the call.
- Flex - Moves the J to be off the line three feet outside the tackle on the side they would normally line up. An exception to Flex is when the J is in the backfield; this will see the Y step off the line in a flex position and the Z step up on the line.
- Stack - The receivers to each side will split the difference between the hash and the numbers and will align vertically. The receiver on the line is considered the outside receiver and so on.
- Bunch - This will have the receivers line up 1 yard away from the most inside receiver on their side.
