Outside Zone

Your assignment is the first defender from your nose to the nose of the next person playside. You will take a reach step aiming to get your hand on the playside shoulder of your opponent. If your defender is not on the line of scrimmage you should post and scoop block with the lineman backside of you.
Y
Split Out: Playside block nearest defender. Backside: if single receiver, choice route; multiple receivers: Bubble Concept. Tight: same rules as the offensive line.
Z

You will align opposite the play call. Take a lateral step to the handoff. Your aiming point is the outside shoulder of the last offensive player on the line to the playside. You will read the block from there and make a cut.
Q
Clear your toes and hand off. Fake a three step drop after the handoff.
Notes
This play is designed to cut off of the blocks. Again the lineman will take the defender where they want to go and the running back will cut.
