NT
You will lineup in a 0 technique (Head up the Center). You will slant to the gap away from the call.
DE You will line up in a 4 technique (Head up the Tackle). You will slant to the gap away from the call.
Mike (Middle Backer) You will line up in a 00 technique (Head up the Center 4 yards off) stacked over the NT. Your base run fit is the A gap to the call side. This will be your gap unless the blitz or call takes you to another gap. If there is a three receiver set you will adjust to a 20 technique (head up the guard 4 yards off) on the strong side. Your run fit will be the Strong Side B Gap.
Backers You will line up in a 40 technique (Head up the tackle 4 yards off) stacked behind the end. If there are three receivers your side you will shift out to split the difference between #3 and the end man on the line of scrimmage. In this instance you are the Force Player. If #3 is a TE or a Flex player you will align in a 7 technique (outside shoulder of the TE). If you are backside of the 3 receivers you will adjust to a 20 technique (head up the guard 4 yards off). Your run gap will be the weak side A.
Outside Backers Single Receiver to your side you will align 3x2. That is 3 yards outside the end man and 2 yards off the ball. You are the Force Player. If there are 2 receivers to your side you will split the difference between #2 and the end man on the line. If there are 3 receivers you will split the difference between #2 and #3.
Corner You will align 1 yard inside the #1 receiver on your side and 6 yards off the ball.
Safety You will align over the ball at 10 yards off the ball. You are the Alley Player.
