You will slant away from the blitzer. In Shoot Right the Backer will blitz the right B gap so the Right End will slant to the C gap, the Nose will slant to the left A gap, and so on. In Shoot Middle the Ends will slant to the C gaps and the Nose will slant to the weak side A gap.
Overhang Backers You are the Force Player in the run and have the Flat in the pass in Cover 3. In Cover 1 you have the #2 receiver to your side.
Backers If you are the Blitzing Backer you will blitz your gap. Shoot Right or Left — the call side backer will blitz the B gap. Shoot Middle — the Mike will blitz the strong side A gap. In the pass game you three will be responsible for the two hook to curls in Cover 3. In Double Shoot the Mike will have the #3 receiver man to man. The two other Backers will blitz the B gap.
Corners You have the deep third to your side in the pass in Cover 3. In Cover 1 you have the #1 receiver to your side.
Safety You are the Alley player against the run and have the middle third against the pass in Cover 3. In Cover 1 you are playing center field.
